It sounds cheesy, but if you put your mind to it, you probably can do anything. Or just about anything, maybe not flying unaided, or becoming invisible... But the things you want for yourself and your life like having a successful business or travelling the world.
Some people write down their dreams in a little book and leave it to fate, but if you write the word Plans at the top of the page, that's when it all changes. If you want to drive down the West Coast of the USA, plan how you'll save up for it; what you want to see; how long you'll go for and where you'll stay. To (mis)quote Field of Dreams, if you plan it, it will come. Seeing a realistic set of goals, with check boxes will make everything a little bit easier and a little bit more achievable even if they all change before you get there.
It's the same for business, now I can't pretend to be a big multinational company, or even a super successful small business owner but my dreams for my business are my plans for the future. One of my dreams was to start a blog, and have it run alongside my business, so I went to a class made a list of blog posts, and I've started. I also dreamed of having my own studio space, so I planned out how I could have one, how much money I'd need to make and how I'd make it and now I have a little space to spread out and sew in.
I've got lots more dreams both for my business and for myself; I also have a lot of notebooks and a lot of lists with how I'm going to get there. I do want to drive down the West Coast of America, and I want to have my own house one day so until I get there I'm going to make a plan whilst I dream about doing it...
